Why ceramic bearings?
Ceramic bearings come in 2 main versions. Hybrid-ceramic bearings combine ceramic balls with steel races, while in full ceramic bearings the entire construction is ceramic. The advantage with ceramic vs. the traditional steel are many. However it carries a substansial price premium for those that want the best.
